how to
attract my audience:
-mode of
adress
- the language in my magazine has been written with a lot of colloqual terms to attract a more intelligen range of people (my primary target audience) as they would be in the right age range for students and learning pupils at schools or college.
Majorie
Ferguson (1980)
- According to the theory, most of the poses I have used on my models are invertational and alluring other than disgarting.
- This is because generally the theme rock is more of a has more of a rebellious and mischeivious look than flirty making it fit more with my theme and target audience.
Interactivity
- my magazing has a website link which helps to interact more with the audience.
- I gave my target audience to ask questions and help modify the look and outcome of my magazine.

question 4
What would
be the audience for your media product?
My chosen
target audience is teenage/young adult woman with little income. I
have chosen this target audience as my magazine is based toward a
target that is young and enjoys gossip for a small price. I have made
it this way as many young people cant afford the luxuries of
expensive magazines every week so if it is cheap enough then they
would but it.
My ideal audience would be my primary audience that I have already mentioned but my secondary audience would be young to middle-aged woman who like to get the “gossip” to try and retain there youth.
Another aspect of my secondary audience would that they would have a larger income so they would equally be more inclines to spend there money on buying this magazine as they they have more money to spare, whereas the younger audience would buy it for the fact they desire it more than other products.

Evaluation question 3
What kind of
media institution might distribute your media product and why? You've done a
lot of work on this already so talk about your research. Will you be increasing
their profit by broadening their audience or by reinforcing existing product or
would you appeal to a smaller, niche audience that there’s no or little
existing product aimed at? What would it compete with?
Looking from my research from Bauer Media and
IPC, and after creating my product, I have decided that Bauer would possibly be
a better company than IPC for making and distributing my music magazine.
This company
has more existing magazines that comply with my existing magazine style and
theme so it would help boost and benefit there existing products by adding a
similar product to boost sales and variety.
Where, IPC
does have a smaller share of the market, with only distributing 2 music
magazines, NME (my style model) is successful but a lot of their magazines are
gossip, or women's magazines, or very niche hobby magazines, which means they
have more knowledge to appeal to a larger younger audience for a music genre
that they currently have any coverage of
at all.

Evaluation question 1
In what ways
does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real
media products?
For my media
magazine (shock wave) I compared numerous magazine style models to come up with
ideas that contributed to ideas for my final design. I used style models of
mast heads, size of mast, tags, advertisement’s, images and font style.
This all
helped me to decide what I wanted my magazine to be like and what I don’t want
it to be like. Using style models such as NME and kerrang helped me choose the
layout, colour pallet and style my magazine was going to be.
To start I
had a colour pallet of red, black and white which I got inspiration from
kerrang magazine but I decided it wasn’t fitting with the style I personally
wanted so I chose a more fitting style which was more in line of style as the
NME style model I used.
