School Contents Page

I was told to create a Heworth Grange magazine in preparation for creating my music magazine further on in my media studies course. This is the contents page for my magazine and as you can see Ihave kept the colouer scene plain and simple with conplimentory colours that help make the images and the text stand out to catch the readers eye.

The background image I have used is from a perspectory angle highlighting the sign and showing the length of the image and depth of the coridoor. I also have used a extreme long shot of my friend David Conelly to represent the average 6th form student and how smart they are expected to dress and to show how the 6th form student have exceeded that expectation.

I have picked out some of the imporant key point of Heworth to present as a possible talking point on my copntents page, useing simple, bold text to make the writing stand out but not take centre stage in this page. I have chosen some key images to represent the poiunts put across in my contents page, such as the "heworth grange ofsted report" and the new "rebuild" of the school and how far it has come. I have chosen bright and colourful images to stand out from the quite simple but effective backgroud so it is noticable that they are the feature ojn this pafge and to always show what would be featuring in the rest of the magazine.

To keep the flow of the colour scene constant, I ave purposefully chosen the exact same colour as the paint on the wallsd dfrom where thgis imagewasd taken to match with the colour on the bottom of the contents page. I believe this is very effective in the ways of tying this poage all together and mating everything match and look like it all belongs and look right together.

To improve I believe I could have added some more information about what was coming up next in the magazine and possibly make the writing stand out more so it would be easier for the reader to understand. Also to add more different photos that tie in with the theme of the magazine.
